The people I work with tend to find their own words for what happens here.

First of all, Andrew cares. That shouldn’t be overlooked. Yes, he’s is a creative expert coach with many tools and frameworks but fundamentally, he cares – which is why his tools are so effective.

ROB DIRECTOR

The ability to adapt and deliver value is critical and Andrew’s ability to help me do that is unparalleled. The combination of this, and his coaching abilities is powerful and effective.

WHO I SERVE

HIGHLY SENSITIVE PROFESSIONALS

You notice what others miss — the tension beneath the meeting, the unspoken expectation, the emotional weight of decisions that look simple on paper. Research calls this depth of processing. In practice, it means you’re doing two jobs: the visible one, and a second job of absorbing, interpreting, and holding what the system around you won’t acknowledge. You’re not fragile. You’re carrying more than anyone has named. I help you see that clearly — and work with it, not against it.

ENTREPRENEURS & CREATORS

You chose your own path because the conventional one didn’t fit. But autonomy brings its own hidden work: the loneliness of decisions made without a sounding board, the friction between creative vision and commercial pressure, the quiet doubt that nobody sees because you’re the one everyone else leans on. We work on building psychological flexibility — the capacity to stay present, open, and connected to what matters, even when the ground is shifting.

HELPING PROFESSIONALS & COACHES

You hold space for others every day. The question is whether anyone holds space for you. The emotional labour of caring professions is well-documented but rarely addressed by the people doing it. Burnout in helping professionals isn’t a personal failing — it’s a structural consequence of work that asks you to give what it doesn’t replenish. I offer supervision, coaching, and an honest mirror for people whose work is other people.

ABOUT ME

HOW I WORK

My coaching draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — a branch of applied psychology with a strong evidence base for building psychological flexibility under pressure. Rachael Skews’ randomised controlled trial demonstrated its effectiveness in workplace coaching. I trained in this approach because I wanted my practice grounded in what the research actually shows, not in what sounds good on a website.

I also bring twenty years of organisational transformation work and an MSc in Business Psychology from the Open University. That combination — the structural and the personal, the system and the human inside it — shapes everything I do. I’m less interested in surface-level goal-setting and more interested in what’s actually in the way.

WHO I AM

I created the Hidden Work Diagnostic — a tool that measures the invisible psychological and emotional labour that drains energy from individuals and organisations. It grew from research, client work, and my own experience of carrying work that nobody could see or name.

I write about this at Conversations That Count, my Substack publication, where I explore what leaders carry in private and what it takes to be honest about it. If you’ve read my writing and recognised something in it — that’s probably the best indication of whether we’d work well together.

CONTACT

If something here resonated, I'd welcome hearing from you. No pressure, no pitch — just a conversation about what you're carrying and whether I can help.
